Trichomoniasis
Description
Trichomoniasis is the most common curable sexually transmitted infection caused by a motile flagellate protozoan parasite. Women with trichomoniasis have a wide spectrum of symptoms, ranging from a relatively asymptomatic state in one-third of cases to severe irritation and inflammation. Several complications associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes have been reported.
