kegg3 logo  KEGG Database Entry Format

The KEGG database is developed and maintained internally in a relational database, but it is distributed in the flat-file format where the database is considered as a collection of entries. This document describes the database entry field names in the web page and the corresponding flat file. It also summarizes the fields searched by DBGET.

DBGET Search Fields

DBGET has been developed as the backbone retrieval system for the GenomeNet and KEGG services (see the history of development).
