Arthropod-borne viral fevers are infectious diseases caused by arboviruses (arthropod-borne viruses) and transmitted by mosquitoes, other insects, mites and ticks. Arboviruses are zoonotic viruses and actually consist of taxonomically different viruses, including flavivirus, alphavirus and bunyavirus.
