Description
Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is a life-threatening infectious disease caused by SFTS virus (SFTSV), a phlebovirus in the order Bunyavirales of -ssRNA viruses, and transmitted by Ixodoidea ticks. SFTSV was first isolated in 2009 in China.
